“To be fair, you do point out the real reason people want to work form home - more time to not do work and waste it on selfish things”

Literally nobody I have ever known that’s worked in white collar jobs, myself included, has ever had even close to 8 hours of actual work a day. Is it really better to sit in the office and pretend to look busy for 6 hours a day, versus doing something “selfish” at home? And if somebody is salaried, why does it matter what they are doing with their excess time as long as the work is getting done? Companies need to stop treating salaried workers like hourly ones and acting entitled to 8 hours of their time if the actual work takes them 2-4.
