This is so depressing to read because it’s all true. The worst part is all of the people who will deny it, or try and distract with crap about how “men have it worse” in whatever ways. None of them ever back things up with actual data as you have done, or if they do, they provide a statistic about something like men being the victims of violent assault more often than anybody else, while conveniently leaving out the part about other men being the ones who are committing the acts of violent assault.

It’s exhausting, and the last thing we need is to do more emotional labor, but we can’t afford to stop fighting for women to be treated like human beings, especially at a time when so many of our basic rights are at risk of being taken away.
