That’s understandable, but it’s why people need to stop treating them like gurus, as well as stop invalidating people who try to speak out about how therapy made things worse. You can’t even talk about it rationally without being attacked and gaslit. We’re constantly told lies that bad therapists exist but are extremely rare, or that negative experiences with narcissistic or mentally unstable therapists were just because they weren’t the “right fit” or whatever. It’s time we hold them accountable and openly discuss the flaws with therapy.
