The gaslighting and nasty comments are even worse when you’re childfree but still want to be in a relationship. People have asked me what the point is if I don’t want kids, as if there is no fundamental value in companionship or commitment itself. I’ve literally been told that I deserve to die alone and unloved. Personally, I don’t understand why so many people see no point to relationships or marriage outside of kids. If reproduction is all that matters, why even bother dating to find someone you’re compatible with, versus going to a clinic and picking a partner based on who would be the best genetic match?
