A few years ago, I witnessed something so utterly bizarre on the road that I still don’t understand it. Nobody believes me, even though I had a witness who was just as weirded out as I was. And while said witness may have been under the influence of mushrooms, I was sober and had no excuse.

A former boyfriend and I were hiking about an hour’s drive away from home. He wanted to take some mushrooms and I agreed to drive us back, as I didn’t feel like tripping.
