Painfully relatable, and something that does not bode well for future generations unless the education system changes. This is how we end up with doctors and engineers who are great at memorizing things and taking tests, but have terrible people skills or struggle with critical thinking.

Instead of traditional tests, some university instructors are starting to give practical assignments and take home exams with the kind of questions that can’t be looked up online, or must be given some thought and consideration. Not only do these assignments actually help develop critical thinking abilities and help students remember the material long-term, but is a creative way to combat cheating.
