Office jobs can be some of the most toxic environments out there. I’ve worked on farms and in manual labor jobs, once ripping insulation out of attics in the summer. And none of it sucked nearly as much as working in an office. There is no misery like having one hour of real work each day but being stuck in an open office where you have no privacy and will get punished if you don’t pretend to look busy convincingly enough. I will never work in an office again, even if I have to deliver food or pick tomatoes to pay my bills.
