My situation is a little different as I’m childfree by choice and don’t date guys who want OR already have kids. But I have noticed one upside is that while it did narrow my dating pool and make things harder up front, it has improved the quality of my long-term relationships. When you’re not interested in a guy’s reproductive capabilities or money, he has to step up his personality and actually offer decent companionship. I’ve seen too many women my age (30s) end up in abusive or toxic relationships because they were so desperate to find someone to have kids with, or because it was too hard to walk away once kids were in the picture.
