Most people don’t have 8 hours of work every day. They don’t want you in an office pretending to look busy for 6-7 hours because of logic. They want to micromanage you and control your free time, even if it hurts their productivity and costs more for the business.
If enough of us refuse to go back to the office or abusive, underpaid workplaces in general, we can make a difference. We need to take advantage of this chance we have to change things, because it’s the last chance we’re going to get for a long time. If we lose momentum, things are going to go back to the way they were pre-COVID, and work-life balance will just get worse for future generations.
