Maybe your daughter is demi-female, which is a term that I only became familiar with a few months ago. It felt like spmething clicked for me when I learned about it. I’ve always hated identifying as female, but have also known that I’m not transgender, and also don’t even feel comfortable describing myself as nonbinary. People who describe themselves as demi-female or demi-male feel comfortable identifying with most aspects of their gender, but not all. For me, I’m okay with outwardly presenting as female and many social aspects of being a woman, but not some things that society holds important, such as reproduction/motherhood.
