Lying flat is working well for me. A roommate to cut rent, no kids or interest in ever having them, a used car, working for myself from home to avoid commute costs, and avoiding unnecessary spending. My expenses are around $800 a month and I’m happy enough that I don’t need the plastic crap, daily overpriced Starbucks drink, or vacations.
