I think a lot of people don’t understand what Antiwork is about. Most people in the movement don’t want to just give up working all together, but want better work conditions. We have grown way too accustomed to abuse in most workplaces, and it shouldn’t be a conditional requirement of keeping a job.
Another major group of people in the movement are sick of bullshit jobs, where you’re paid to essentially sit there and pretend to look busy. It’s ironic with a name like Antiwork, but we actually want better ways to survive and contribute to society than to take mindless cubicle jobs where we’re literally paid to NOT work for several hours a day. We want better options for ourselves and future generations.
