I appreciate hearing this because I am a deeply introverted person that hates group activities but has found it almost impossible to make platonic friends on a one on one basis, as our society has next to no meams to do so. I enjoy being in a committed relationship because I’ve much better luck making meaningful human connections via dating than trying to make platonic friends. But I have been shamed relentlessly and called needy and dependent for preferring being in a partnership to being single, especially as a childfree person. I don’t think anybody should be shamed for enjoying being single, but the pendulum is definitely starting to swing too far in the opposite direction.
