I agree with all of this, and believe that in an ideal society, ALL drugs would be 100% legal, pharmaceutical grade, and available for adults to purchase at dispensaries, along with harm reduction education and tools. There could still be laws regarding driving or operating machinery while under the influence, and private companies could still have the right to prohibit drug use from their employees or test them if they want. But nobody would end up locked in a for-profit prison over nonviolent and consensual adult drug use.
