From kindergarten through middle school, every class I was in forced us to celebrate Valentines Day. We would usually have a class party with koolaid and treats, and everybody would have to bring a bag of candy and/or Valentines cards to hand out to classmates. At least they would require everybody to give one piece or candy of card to every classmate, to prevent anybody from being left out.
