Psychedelics are Medicine

Being raised Catholic, I was indoctrinated to believe that sex was the most filthy, disgusting arch sin that you could commit, and that pregnancy was the punishment for it. And yet, as soon as you turn 18, everyone does a 180 and you’re pressured to get married and start popping out babies immediately. Pregnant women are objectified and reduced down to their bodily functions by religious friends and family members. The cognitive dissonance is unbelievable.

I never wanted kids even when I was one myself and decided that becoming a nun would be the only alternative to being a wife and mother when I grew up. And unbelievably, I was told that while it was a noble thing to do if I had the calling for it, doing it to avoid marroage and motherhood was a sin that I would be punished for. You can’t fucking win if you’re female in the church. Nothing you do is right because they literally believe women are inferior and inherently sinful.
